13016-shooting
Lessons I learned during last weekend’s lead therapy:
1. I don’t like using gloves
2. My horizontal sighting needs adjustment.
3. I had the longest fingernails of anyone at the range.
4. This activity is addictive yet cathartic!

the Framers of the Bill of Rights did not Purport to Create Rights

Evidence that even the most far left leaning of all progressives can get it right on occasion:

“the Framers of the Bill of Rights did not purport to create’ rights. Rather, they designed the Bill of Rights to prohibit our Government from infringing rights and liberties presumed to be pre-existing.” Justice Brennan, dissenting opinion in United States v. Verdugo-Urguidez, 1990

Mayflower_compact
Did you know that the Mayflower Compact created a socialist-like community? That structure was quickly revised when everyone failed to do his fair share of work. Liberals still haven’t learned from that experiment! Of course, the Mayflower Compact is no longer required reading in school. Share this document with your child, and explain why socialism ultimately fails.
The Pilgrims, other early settlers, and the Thanksgiving holiday have been almost vilified in the name of political correctness. Thanksgiving is not even mentioned in many public school classrooms. It seems to be lost on some that without the pilgrims (and their counterparts), there would be no colonies, no American Revolution, and no United States of America.

Unhappy America! When thy Enemies are rewarded with Honors and Riches; but thy Friends punished and ruined only for asserting thy Rights, and pleading for thy Freedom

“It is reported that the Governor has said, that he has Three Things in Command from the Ministry, more grievous to the People, than any Thing hitherto made known. It is conjectured 1st, that the Inhabitants of this Province are to be disarmed. 2d. The Province to be governed by Martial Law. And 3d, that a Number of Gentlemen who have exerted themselves in the Cause of their Country, are to be seized and sent to Great-Britain. Unhappy America! When thy Enemies are rewarded with Honors and Riches; but thy Friends punished and ruined only for asserting thy Rights, and pleading for thy Freedom.”  Editorial by A.B.C. in the Boston Gazette on September 26, 1778. This editorial is often attributed to Samuel Adams

Unending Gratitude for Veterans

There are 365 opportunities each year to thank a veteran or active member of our armed services for your freedom, but Veteran's Day is a good day to start! Susan C. Rempel, Ph.D. #veteran, #veteransday, #usarmy, #usnavy, #usmarines, #uscoastguard, #conservative

Unending gratitude to all of those who have served, so that we might be free. The phrase: “Thank you for your service” is truly insufficient! God bless each and every veteran of the United States Military!!
