It’s that time of year again! I’ve already heard news reports about people protesting any public display of Christmas – even though Christmas is a federal holiday. The mention of Christmas has been banned at some public schools. Many schools have a winter holiday celebration in which Christmas is minimized. In other schools it is celebrated without reference to the birth of Jesus. What astounds me is that parents have little, if any, input into whether a holiday will be acknowledged or how it will be celebrated. So my question to you is: Do you have any input as to how Christmas, or any other winter holiday, is celebrated in your child’s school? Please take this poll, and then comment below about any winter holiday celebration that might take place in your child’s school. Do you have any objects to how and what is or is not celebrated? Thanks for participating!
